Rougui (肉桂), named for its distinct cinnamon aroma, is a classic tea cultivar from the Wuyi Mountains. This batch is made from tea leaves harvested from Da Shui Keng (大水坑) which sits in the Ban Yan zone of Wuyi Mountains at over 800m. Here, the slopes flatten slightly, allowing the tea bushes to absorb sunlight throughout the entire day. Grown without chemical fertilisers nor pesticides, nurtured by the natural rhythm of the mountains, its flavour reflects the terroir.
Paired with cacao from Semuliki Forest, Uganda, the flavour is clean, vibrant and richly aromatic.
