Holiday Price. The discounted holiday pricing is our lowest offered in 2025, and imagine it is the lowest available in the U.S. We would like to offer deeper discounts, but outside factors have prevented us -- read below.
Tariffs in November 2025. We felt great joy when we read the announcement that Japanese tea tariffs were removed on November 13th. We envisioned passing these savings along to you. However, the reality is that our November shipment of matcha from Marukyu Koyamaen was hit with tariff charges from DHL, despite shipping from Kyoto on November 16th. We are currently disputing these charges, but having limited success, and frankly, feel a bit powerless in the whole situation.
MK Price Increases in November 2025. Marukyu Koyamaen increased prices on November 1, 2025 -- story here. Our first shipment with this price increase is the one currently held by DHL as we dispute the tariff fee. We hoped to balance the price increase with the removal of the tariff. Instead, it looks like we will be paying both in the immediate future.
Circle back to Holiday Price. Despite tariffs and MK price increases, our mission has always been to deliver high quality matcha at the lowest prices we can manage. We hold true to this mission, and offer our lowest matcha prices in 2025.
